Band - DJ Daniel Rajkovic

Daniel Rajkovic's passion for music began as a little kid when he would rifle through his older brother's italo disco and rock records. By the age of 14 he was heavily into the goth and punk scene (this meant getting through a serious amount of hair dye and spray) and by the age of 16 he was busy joyfully discovering illegal raves where he and his friends would dance like lunatics to EBM. It's safe to say that this half-yugoslavian boy certainly stuck out in his small Munich suburb. Soon enough he had bought his own decks and was teaching himself how to DJ. It obviously worked as when he was just 19 years old, he scored a residency at the same club where he had first discovered techno - the legendary Munich club Ultraschall. Daniel's early influences included Bauhaus, Joy Division and Throbbing Gristle while his early techno days were fueled by the likes of Profan, Studio 1 and Robert Hood - as he says himself "I was always into the more minimal, darker sounds ". A move to Berlin got him a residency at another infamous club - Tresor - which he has held for the past five years. Nowadays daniel describes his sound as being more tech-house, deep house and minimal and his DJing has taken him to many places, from Moscow to Tel Aviv, from Barcelona to Copenhagen and of course all around Germany. Last year, aged 29, he established his own label DELETE music and one year later he created a new division, DELETE Ltd, in order to release some more housier sounds. So far Junkbox, Jon Seber and Cess have all released on DELETE. Daniel's main focus now is working on his debut solo EP, which he will release around October 2009. Besides all this, Daniel also works for Get Physical Music as their Event Manager and previously he worked for the Loveparade for three years as their Music Programming Manager.
