Band - Rio Jafari & the Delicious Allstars

He definitely enjoyed being a Jungle MC, but Rio Jafari wanted more. About three years ago, he decided to do something new. And he spent quite some time in his studio until he released his first album „Banausenbrause“ in the summer of 2007: A mixture of electronic beats, rap and groovy melodies.

But how would perform the whole thing on stage: A singer and a laptop? No, Rio Jafari needed a live band, so he started looking for musicians and gradually found a group of people with real groove and who noticeably enjoyed playing together. The Delicious Allstars consist of Ralf on guitar and Efx., Mike Rophonic on bass, Marcel on drums and live effects (pads) and Jana on sax. And definitely Lotta Leben & Rio Jafari on vocals.

Together Rio Jafari & the Delicious Allstars are a funk machine from Berlin – but not simply a copy of the 70ies, but electronic, phat and at any rate from the new millennium. All Allstars have been making music since their teens – which lies back just a few years with some and a few decades with others. Since „Banausenbrause“ the same amount of songs as on the album has evolved, and their number keeps growing.

In summer 2010, the next studio album will be released – full of new and exciting songs.
