Band - drou & the candy kid

After a few years as the lead singer of the French band "Cellar Door" based in Lyon, Drou began her own project after relocating to Paris in 2006. Her electro-guitar and do-it-yourself approach to songwriting was soon complemented by Candice (aka The Candy Kid) with the addition of drums, a glimpse of trumpet and a flurry of delicate sounds. Together Drou and the Candy Kid have been writing sensitive songs gently echoing the artists they've been long and dear fans of: Ane Brun, PJ Harvey, Portishead's Beth Gibbons and Raymond Queneau among others. At the end of 2008, Drou and the Candy Kid's first collection of songs entitled "A Dungeon, A Dragon" was released. This first EP stands as a playground for creatures and figures, tambourine and chimes, softness and darkness.
